                              How to be Happy

Happiness is one of the most desired emotions.  Many 

people look for happiness by getting nicer things for themselves but yet happiness 

eludes them why is that?  People have to understand that no material alone can make 

you feel happy for the rest of your life you may feel a little happy once you but that item 

but that feeling is only temporary.  So how do you be happy?  My ways in becoming 

happy starts with becoming more grateful for what you already have.  A good exercise 

for this is when you wake up write down 3 things that you are grateful for.  Now this 

exercise alone isn't all you must do.  Another thing that i have recently tried doing was 

smiling ear to ear in front of the mirror.  A study was made where a group of depressed 

people where told to smile in front of the mirror for 10 to 15 minutes everyday for a 

month and when the month passed to group of people who were depressed said that 

they felt better but why?  When you smile chemicals that produce melatonin the 

chemical that makes you happy and awake is produced.  When melatonin is released 

from the body you will become more happy and awake but also it will lower down 

blood pressure as well so keep smiling everybody!
